Vincent Price ain’t nuthin.

Predator pumpkin

I used to get really into Halloween, mostly because of its proximity to my birthday. In particular I used to really enjoy pumpkin carving, and would spend hours doing Shepherd Farey-style renderings of Vincent Price or Darth Vader. These pumpkins make mine look like child’s play. Ridiculous.

A natural marriage of the two

I had completely forgotten about this, but a couple of years ago I came up with the perfect career for myself. With my drawing abilities and a Biology degree, it’s so obvious: I should have become an anatomy artist! It would be perfect for me actually, because I have a pretty anal attention to detail, a strong stomach and an ability to achieve extremely accurate realism in my drawings. My only question is, how the hell do you get into such a specific field?

I was reminded of it again when I saw this post on BibliOdyssey. There’s still a Biology geek somewhere deep inside me, and she loves anatomy drawings.
